David Johannes Suchy and Jasmin Martin are the founders of FREA, the first 100% plant-based zero waste restaurant in Berlin. FREA believes in a sustainable and healthy future for all of us, in strengthening regional organic farmers, and in doing it all together. This is reflected in their kitchen, products, and service: they produce no landfill waste or leftover food. Instead, they compost food remains and give the resulting soil back to their suppliers. Meanwhile, they create everything themselves, from homemade sourdough bread to hazelnut milk, kombucha to dark chocolate. These methods ensure that FREA embodies ‘full taste, zero waste’.
