Sara Ward BIONot to be confused with a Mad Chicken Lady, Sara loves her flock of hens in her West London back garden and traces the hobby back to her grandfather who sold eggs from his East End home during the Blitz. As well as eggs, Sara collects honey from her bees and basketfuls of fruit and veg from her trees and growing plots throughout the year.EXPERIENCEAfter many years working in the voluntary sector, Sara started to question the provenance and production of her food. As a young mother she was trying to source organic ingredients to make food for the family and decided to try her hand to farming their London back garden. As their experience grew so did the interest of others. Hen Corner, now a full time business, is celebrating ten years of encouraging others to engage with their food and it's production through a variety of courses, weekly micro-bakery and writing for local and national magazines.
