Bio

Mikael Fogelholm a professor at University of Helsinki in the Department of Food and Nutrition. He enjoys outdoor endurance sports, such as mountain biking, orienteering and trail-running, in addition to playing the piano.

Experience

Mikael has published over 250 articles on public health nutrition, physical activity and obesity. He chaired the workgroup that created the 2014 Finnish Dietary Guidelines, and in 2018 he was awarded by the Finnish Education and Culture Ministry for being an important communicator of science-based nutrition.
