Oliver grew up on the sunny coast of Western Australia, surrounded by an unlimited playground for ocean-based activities. A lifetime spent fishing, diving and surfing have shaped his perspectives and curiosities around not only what lies beneath the surface, but also how we as a society share a common responsibility to think consciously about what environmental footprint each of us leaves behind.
Oliver holds a BSc in Marine Science and Indigenous Heritage Studies from the University of Western Australia. Following graduation, he has worked voluntarily with AIMS on the Global FinPrint Project, as well as undertaking an internship with Marine Conservation Philippines in establishing community operated marine protected areas. Most recently, Oliver have been working as an Aquaculture Technician on Yellow-tail Kingfish farming operations with Indian Ocean Fresh Australia in Western Australia’s Midwest region.
