Letizia is a fact-checker at FoodUnfolded®. She loves science tourism, science festivals and… ice cream.

EXPERIENCE

Letizia has a double background in biochemistry and science communication. After her PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge (UK), she was awarded a Wellcome Trust fellowship to study science communication at Imperial College London (UK). Since then, she has worked as a science communicator for research institutes, NGOs and companies across Europe and Asia. She translates technical papers into user-friendly articles, tailored for specific audiences, including journalists, policymakers and children. She is also involved in several initiatives that promote STEM education and foster the career of scientists from underrepresented groups. Her first science book for children was published in 2021.
