Dr Mirta Alessandrini

BIO

Mirta Alessandrini is a lecturer and researcher at Wageningen University & Research in the Law Group. She loves food and wine travelling, writing and cooking.

EXPERIENCE

She teaches Food Law and is an expert in Short Food Supply Chains (SFSCs),  with a deep interest in all the legal issues this topic involves. In the SmartChain project, she took part in developing policy and legal recommendations on SFSCs for the EU Commission. Her research also addresses food safety legislation, sustainability of food systems, novel food and food waste legislation, with a focus on the Farm to Fork Strategy and the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
